It was fun leaving Blanding to look south and see the Ship Rock from down by Shiprock, New Mexico. It felt good having completed my third state.
Letha Burtenshaw told us that she and Steven had loved taking their family to Dolores, CO. The town did seem to have a charm of it’s own. There was a river beside a park where Kathie sat and read while waiting for me. There were a lot of people playing in the river.
Dolores is a delightful little town in Colorado. I had a good day of riding. In general, the street shoulders were wide and it felt comfortable. As we were looking for a place to stay for the night, some custodians exited the elementary school there and told us we could use their parking lot.
